What a great “article” you’ve written here.

The WRX Impreza was meant to be rally inspired. I’d call that cross country.

Its not as much as you’re indicating. There is not a panel on the WRX that is on any of the other two cars (which are literally the same car with a suspension lift and slight cosmetic changes). The global platform is the very basic elements of the chassis, not the whole thing.

Its funny because the slot for the VA WRX STI DCCD interface is in the VB generation, just filled with a little tray. I assume they plan on bringing it along eventually.

Subaru’s engines are all stuck in the late 90s/early 2000s in terms of their power and efficiency figures. I don’t think they have the R&D funds to improve the boxers to be better than they currently are.

There’s no impreza in the WRX and there hasn’t been since it was announced as a standalone model almost a decade ago.

You say it died, I say it had a 2nd life. 330k miles is a lot, and while enthusiasts would probably keep this chassis on the road, it’s new life as a rally car is clearly the best one for it.

This is likely made with some kind of wood or MDF, routed and channeled to be electrified.

You are quite limited to what you can do within the space he was working with, at the scale of car he’s using. It’s very loosely based on the circuit, but the whole package does the trick to me.

I’m surprised there isn’t more. In case anyone doesn’t know, of the countless delivery couriers and food app delivery cyclists in NYC these days, nearly all of them are modified to be e-bikes.

What a bad opinion!

Manholes were secured, the point of failure was the surface surrounding them.

The title of a movie is not particularly relevant during production. Might shock you to learn this, but its actually extremely common for films to change titles before during and after principal photography.

Shaq has been going to F1 races for a long long time now.

Elizabeth, we get it. Jalopnik didn’t get media credentials for the Las Vegas GP. Time to move on, sweetheart.

Most pedestrian bridges like this are reinforced one way or another. The film is nowhere near the final form of that bridge.

He half-asses everything. I’d be very happy to see that car in a completed state with that color, but I’m already skeptical after he said he wouldn’t be putting the hybrid system back in it. Its hardly even a P1 at that point, more like a 12c with a widebody kit.

Nothing super surprising here, at least not to me.

The suffix “2" is a normal console naming scheme. Its nothing like Wii U or the New 3ds.

I feel as though it could be reasonable to mandate a maximum cockpit temperature as they’ve done in the WEC for years now.
