Considering all of the prerelease “Is it canceled/What’s happening” coverage, I was surprised to see the reboot of Phantom Dust omitted from what was otherwise a really comprehensive roundup. Was that any good?
So this is a pretty comprehensive roundup, but I didn’t see any mention anywhere of the Phantom Dust reboot finally landing, which I found odd considering there was a fair amount of prerelease “Is it canceled/What’s happening?” coverage. Was that any good?

Um, just delete my other comment. For some reason after I logged into Kinja, it took me to the comments on a different post? My comment makes no sense here.
Same. I tuned out about 3 years ago. I’ll watch if the Packers, my late dad’s favorite team, are in the playoffs, but only because I imagine him staring me down from heaven disapprovingly if I did anything else. (And I’m an atheist!)

That’s fine, but that doesn’t mean he has any business being on TV in 2017. OJ Simpson was a hell of a running back.
Remind me why, exactly, the onus is on managers to call for a review of game-swinging plays and why some impartial officials can’t also initiate a review? Because that’s how the NFL does it? Oh...
You seemed pretty overwhelmed by his comment tbh
Paul George has to become Klay Thompson for this to work. He’s gotta be OK with playing his ass off on defense and sometimes only scoring 8 or 10 points.
Rusty Kuntz is the only name you need, here.
No, I do, but there’s a logical reason the NBA is in each of those markets. SLC is the only one that feels like an outlier to me b/c no one wants to play there. San Antonio is a much bigger city than most people realize. (See also: Columbus, Ohio, which despite being way bigger than Cincinnati only has a hockey team.)
Following up, looking at the list of the country’s top media markets, Sacramento, San Antonio, SLC and Portland are all in the top 34, ahead of NFL cities like Cincinnati, Green Bay, Vegas, Jacksonville, New Orleans and Buffalo.
San Antonio, the seventh-largest city in the US, is obscure now?
So, there are four NFL teams in California. Three of them aren’t drawing any fans. The fourth one? Moving to Vegas.
Every, game, matters, Algernon.
Nah, in football, the bulk of the league hovers around .500 for most of the season, then a few teams rise to the top the past two weeks of the season and grab the last playoff spots. It’d just happen two or four weeks earlier if they eliminated games. I don’t even watch the NFL till the playoffs start b/c the teams…
LOL, whut? Yeah, I mean, I guess one guy openly racially discriminated against people and the other guy is in court, accused of tricking people into signing sketchy mortgages they can’t afford, misrepresenting their financial info and getting a nice windfall from taxpayers when people can’t make their payments. Having…
This! I so wanted the bassline of “Money” playing over that.
