Isn’t Ford’s terrain management system also a holdover of the tech that they rolled out with Land Rover, back when they owned them? If so, it’s not like that system doesn’t have legit offroad chops.
Counterpoint: We should give him more.
Is “other Americans” an appropriate answer?
Any word on engine options? Electrification? I get why Ford is starting with the F150 for electification, but it would be cool to see something smaller (a Ranger or Tacoma even) able to come in an all electric configuration.
Get out of here with your good ideas. This is a safe space for hyperbolic reactions that are needlessly politicized, despite being a car blog.
I’ll bite. I have an Outlander, and it’s been a damn capable and very reliable car. Does it have a CVT? Sure, so does just about every other C/SUV in its segment. Sure it’s a little more spartan inside than offerings from Honda/Toyota/etc.; but damn if I don’t have a vehicle that’s handled Minnesota winters with ease…
Untrue. Stellantis...still exists.
Maybe they’re just angling for more free lunches in their local Stellantis service department?

I do think that this is most likely the future. Most trailers are already a ladder frame anyway, its just a matter of time before a “universal” battery pack is run between the rails and a high-voltage power plug is compulsory to the other trailer receiver cabling.
Mythbusters actually did, and what you said is correct. They even compared against tonneau covers, toppers and mesh tailgates against the typical open bed and tailgate. The open bed and standard tailgate was the most fuel efficient configuration.
I need this in my life. Even if it’s a shitty Torch photoshop.
what the fuck did i just read
I dig this, but somewhat disagree on one point. I feel like smart manufacturers could actually leverage this into a revitalization of the service model. Sure you’re going to have the same folks who have the means and knowhow to make improvements at home. But there’s likely an equal-sized audience that would love to do…
Better yet; Sandy Munro makes...The Torch
Give it a clutch and saddle brown leather inside and this is straight up irresistible.
5th Gear: We all know the Gladiator will fail. We all want to see bosozoku Gladiators though.
