I’m incredibly relieved Trevorrow’s out. I really didn’t see any way ep IX would turn out well with him at the helm.

From what I can tell, TFA’s slavish devotion to all things A New Hope bothered everyone at Lucasfilm too. It wasn’t without its good points though.

Here today, gone Trevorrow.

I knew I got lucky when I saw Kyle MacLachlan and Sheryl Lee appear (neither of them had been spotted filming previously in Washington State and the Washington shoot was nearly complete) but I didn’t realize how lucky I was!

I remember thinking it felt like a dream sequence. This doesn’t come across in the episode but on location, Coop and Carrie/Laura walked up the steps with completely synchronized movements. There was one take where after talking to the new owner, Coop and Carrie/Laura did some strange body language, like they felt

I agree with you, but I do care about the mythology because of how unique it makes Twin Peaks. However, when I watched season 1 for the first time, I was surprised by how not weird it was. Yes, there was quirky stuff all over the place, but it really wasn’t like what the parodies seemed to make it.

Just some random observations:

Just looking at the scene for what’s there, it’s not pointless at all. That was the face of the man who raped her, if not the man himself, so it doesn’t surprise me that she covered it with her hands. It was an extremely vulnerable, uncomfortable scene, as it should have been and illuminated Diane’s psychology

Personally, I think I really loved the ending. What was Twin Peaks about? Strip away all the lunacy and what was it about? It was about a dead girl and the FBI agent trying to solve her murder and thus symbolically save her.

I UNDERSTAND CELL PHONES NOW

It’s only a video?? Damn.

You’re more of a Fart Bargo.

that’s not real, you can’t say that

I was sure that was a Tom Waits song, and I was confused when it didn’t show up in the list of songs in the end credits. Then I went through and listened to the beginnings of the Tom Waits songs in my collection trying to find it. Then I learned that it was actually part of the Twin Peaks score, which was why I

I don’t want it to end. Can we somehow stop this from ever ending? This episode made me feel every emotion and left me so charged up and excited that I am incapable of sleep. It’s like a drug (in a good way). I feel like Cooper. This show has made my heart so full.

“Agent Cooper is never coming back, it’s going to be Dougie all season, Lynch is a troll”
- dummies

I knew this could only be an A episode. Definitely my favorite of the season. “I am the FBI.” I cheered. Could be a corny line from a different actor but MacLachlan just nailed it.

what the hell just happened to the AV Club website? Suddenly I thought I was in the Black Lodge or wherever Audrey is because I had to scroll a lot to find the review for the episode. Wait, is this real life? You ruined this site, and F*** GoT
