Seriously, Dave and Peter are clearly the two most consistent bakers. I think Peter has definitely been better, but Dave has not made any major mistakes the whole show and often pulls off really good stuff. It’s not a surprise he made it to the finals.

just being honest but i think this review says a lot more about you than the show.....

I've never been a particular fan of Dave, but people seem to be misremembering how well he's performed. He was only ever in the bottom once, won star baker once, and was in the running for star baker three or four times.

Season 1: some of the best TV

I can think of no better way to encourage global peace and understanding than to have everyone rigidly segregated by race and nationality under pain of social media pillory.

What drives me crazy about digital content is that for the most part, there’s no discount for buying digitally. I think that’s what makes these policies a bit tough to swallow. Companies clearly make more profit on digital sales because they don’t have to produce physical discs and packaging or share revenue with

As a UKer, it’s a nice surprise to see Eastenders pop up in a Random Roles. But no love for Our Friends in the North from 1996? Not only was it an amazing series but the four friends it follows over 30 years were played by Strong, Gina McKee, Christopher Eccleston and Daniel Craig. That’s a hell of a core ensemble.

If you’re going to ask David Crosby a question on Twitter you should really be prepared to not like the answer.

Also if he though EVH was Meh, he’s really not going to give half a fuck about Dee Snider and Tracii Guns opinions.

I haven’t seen this....but if you felt talked-down-to, realize that the message wasn’t for you.  It’s for the less alert folks who might not pay enough attention to what they’re doing.  Suck it up, bud. It’s not ALWAYS about you.

Yeah, this would be “condescending,” if half of America wasn’t composed of morons who actually need to be told to read the instructions.

Not that I entirely disagree, but let’s not pretend it’s a “nothing for something” exchange. You ‘sell’ your data to Facebook, Twitter, etc, and they ‘sell’ you access to and usage of their platform. The only difference between it and other subscription services is that no money is changing hands. Your data is

Imagine being so Yorkshire that you play darts while you stuff ferrets down your trousers.

No B*Witched?

Forrest’s success is supposed to be satirical, though (even while the movie obviously likes him so you’re not wrong to want him to succeed).

I agree with your hot take. I loved Gambon’s Dumbledore and I had read all the books before the movies came out. Gambon really nailed the ambiguousness of crazy old man and most powerful wizard in the world. Plus its a really good set up for Half Blood Prince & Deathly Hallows where we find out that Dumbledore has

Absolutely. The movie’s one flaw is that it has a three-dimensional and believable character as the villain, rather than a cackling, moustache-twirling EEEEVVVIILLL guy imported lock, stock and barrel from fifty other films? The flaw is that the villain doesn’t look like a villain, and makes you sympathise with him

Indeed. I can’t bring myself to fault Spielberg for not going with the cheap evil-industrialist cliche, whatever modern sentiments might crave.

I’m actually glad they didn’t go with John Hammond as the straight up villain as depicted in the. The movie version is far more interesting as a character and far closer to being a real person.
