Because God, or someone, has a sense of humor, there is usually precious little wind in my experience, once the temperature approaches 100°F. Basically most climates.

Which takes, what, a ton of Li-Ion batteries as the floor of the vehicle and costs almost as much as a house in the rural Midwest.

You’re not wrong. I made a hasty edit while loading into a match in World of Tanks. 30 second countdowns promote sloppiness.

Here’s a post more worthy of FA 2017: did you know it takes ground-bursts to take out ICBM silo’s, which are in the Dakota’s? Did you know ground bursts are the dirtiest type of nuclear explosion?

That’s right: in the eventual nuclear holocaust with the Russians, TRUMP VOTERS IN RED AMERICA WILL DIE IN DROVES.

SUCK IT

This.
Tractor trailers get about 5mpg & have 300 gallong tanks. Ballpark figures.

So... they’re not on fumes till well over 1000 miles.
Turns out ENERGY DENSITY of fossil fuels still massively outstrips all electric options.

I’m not a Luddite; we need to move on from fossil fuels eventually.
But the love affair this

Don’t tractor trailers go the better part of 1000 miles on a single tank? (5mpg with a 300+ gallon tank)
BUT THE RANGE remains a valid complaint.
Completely stonewalling this notable fact drags this story down to a level barely better than propaganda.

That said, you should know where weapons designed to destroy the world are located and your proximity to them.

I guess all the Syrian welders live in Europe now.

Pretty much this with the exception of a naval variant.

sigh
My HS research paper was a plea to build more of these. (late 2003 fwiw)
If an 18 y/o can figure that shit out, what is Congress’ excuse?

LOL bully pulpit.
Don’t you have to be outnumbered to be bullied? Out shouted in volume?
At the very least, the notion that an administration the media actively disrespects, is capable of being the bully is a strange relationship indeed.

Textbook crybully bullshit writing.

Good comedy means thinking outside the turret.

Not enough innocent bystanders at risk.
Room for improvement. :)

An obvious design consideration is relative insensitivy to anything but actual tank ordnance.

Should have made a standalone reply to the story to your comment here.
The Cold War-era T-series tanks often had thin, ballistic side skirts, and that was fine. As Soviet ERA research progressed, it’s inclusion in huge glacis, turret & finally skirt-side & turret top arrays became increasingly prevalent.

The weight of

Well, interesting takeaway in operational terms is that the significant damage to the mounting of the side-skirt ERA seems to be a bit of a sore point currently for Russian tanks through T-72. (I’m sure Armata being a clean-sheet design has improved significantly on this)

Remember seeing an ANNA video of SAA T-72

It’s a well-known fact Clutch Braking is overkill on many Soviet tanks — they just drift harder. (T-54 Lightweight, looking at you)

Upon examination of the actual video (potato cellular couldn’t load that promptly, only saw GIF till now) he actually got whipped by the overhead telephone wire (or whatever it is) and didn’t lose his footing.

Well played regardless Belarus.

There can be only 1 King of the Seven Seas.
Hail to the King baby, suck it fish.
