It'd be okay if Wun-Wun found another giant, started a family, and eventually died of an inevitable heart attack because of his size.

Jeez, has everyone seen this movie but me? And Rickon, apparently?

Maybe Sansa will be the next Big Bad. She's already turned into an awful hybrid of Littlefinger and her entitled, deeply grating mother. There's one cut during the battle from Jon Snow to her that underscores how little she actually cares about the dude. Arya wouldn't have done that. #shutupsansa

Sure, but, as we've seen, she's not a particularly great strategist, and there's no way she'd have forgotten Tyrion for two seasons.

And all of his violence was done off-screen, and more effectively for it.

Days later, I'm still bummed about this. It's not just that Arya's arc in Braavos was poorly-written and unbelievable, nor that Jaqen H'ghar clearly has no idea what the "no one" business is about (how is the waif no one?). Cast your mind back to Harrenhall, and remember this mysterious badass with a strange code of

The overall story of Jaime Lannister in Riverrun has merit, even if the execution was craptastic. Look back to Cersei in episode 6:

My gut instinct is that they'll just send him to Dorne, where all the long stories go to end on a disappointing note. Or to Braavos. Or Mereen (or Riverrun, or the Wall…).

I suspect that the "rumors" Cersei and Qyburn alluded to were about Tyrion in Mereen. Note the cut directly from them to Tyrion, drinking wine and saying "I am happy!" It also reinforces that Varys' birds are no longer his own, and that he may find Westeros a very different place when he returns.

Also, Kevin Eldon ("Ned Stark") puts himself in a very uncomfortable position for the sake of his best friend's family in the first episode of "Jam…" just like Ned Stark did. My head is reeling. Just like Willis'. And you might rightly ask what I'm talking about.

Has anyone said "close the Bloody Gate" in any of those scenes at The Eyrie? The show's a little precious that way.

Richard E Grant is an actor in Braavos.
Jaqen H'ghar, a Faceless Man of Braavos, refers to himself as "A Man."
Richard E Grant quotes Shakespeare in "Withnail & I (or does he?):" "What a piece of work is A Man!"

"Also , hooray for THE ACTOR KEVIN ELDON as fake idiot Ned Stark!"

I agree with you, but I'm shooting for pathos, here.

If Brienne's heading to Riverrun and Jaime Lannister's purportedly going there, I'm betting she'll die at Jaime's hand. I wonder if she'll make it past next season.

I guess I know why the Kingsmoot was such a hotly-anticipated scene. The drowning rite was pretty badass. I wonder how many salt kings never made it past their inaugurations.

Yet another callback - Robb Stark called Greatjon Umber "oathbreaker" in S1E08, "The Pointy End."

I'm on the fence about the callbacks and recursions in this show; sometimes they're awfully ham-fisted, and other times they don't seem to offer more than a fillip for the close-readers and trainspotters. That "I am the king" line's just one of so many. In this episode, Smalljon Umber's proposition and gift for Ramsay

Ha. Search for "Rubberbandits Spastic Hawk" and you'll see… well, it's still better than Sweet Robin.
