Being at the Game Devs of Color Expo feels different than being at other gaming conventions. It’s looser, less…
Forgive me if you were joking, but
Nintendo participated on GDC for years before. Sakurai for example had an panel about Smash Bros years ago and last year Fujibayashi presented a panel about BOTW.
BR is killing StW, and for that reason I hate BR. Epic took all those $40-$250 founder packs and instead of finishing anything in the main game, it’s all been dumped into BR. StW will be dropped just like Paragon was. Least they got 1 out of 4 towns, and half a story.
The game isn’t even that good which is actually kind of great because it shows as long as you can have fun with something, that’s really all that matters.
The issue here (for me at least) is the fact that the game has turned into “just” Battle Royale.
Which is not what I spent my money on a founders pack for.
I had waited on Fortine since 2011, it came out, was not really that great, devs wanted to shove llamas down my throat on top of some weird design choices.

Also crazy- watching PUBG get eaten alive by bugs, cheats and competition.
I know technically speaking you’re right, but for me battle Royale killed fortnite. I PAID for the game based on it being a coop experience that would be improved and expanded over time. Well now it’s all about battle Royale because it’s a popular me too genre and coop, the paid only mode, gets neglected. But hey I’m…
I’ll never show anyone this clip. I won’t go through the shame of showing a vertical video.
My favorite is Tanaka.
Sorry but : “Tanaka thai kick !” nothing will surpass this, more so the year when they were in prison and the way it came about was hilarious.
Well he cheated on his wife as well. People can both be great in some things and amazingly stupid in others.
He’s honestly right. I was the exact same, I finished Act 1 and was really shook by it. I couldn’t get what happened out of my mind and it was actually a bit hard to sleep. Act 2 is absolutely worth it though.
Still trying to track this man down so I can marry him
I think you really have a point. And it’s not just DBZ, but all shonen anime I guess - for which DBZ was definitely my gateway. It gave me that “work, don’t complain, and if it doesn’t go right just work twice as hard” kind of mindset. I can see how it can actually end up being toxic (after all Japanese work culture…
It’s funny. You could actually make a similar argument as to why Dragon Ball Z is so beloved among Latino (and, in my experience, particularly Mexican) men of a certain age. Everyone I know has memories of watching this show growing up. It was one of the few cartoons you could watch without cable because it was…
