Wait, the secret service has local offices?
UGGH YES I used to work at weddings, and while I didn’t mind when people got crazy during the time (provided they weren’t breaking things, it was free entertainment for me, and everyone there already knew what an asshole they were), but I HATED it when they’d stay late and try to keep the party going because “we’re…
WAIT wasn’t the rumor that Charlize “ghosted” Penn? How do you ghost someone that you live with?
I know- which is why I said I knew it was the wrong term.
I think that’s where the goal-making part comes in. What are you saving for? And when do you want that thing? Divide it out (as this article demonstrates, though her “what are you saving for” was too big for her budget). Then, shape the rest of your budget around that. You’ll have the thing you want when you want it,…
I think it’s partly due to the placement of the door- in a house where the door is the centerpiece of an otherwise pretty dull facade, it can make a big difference. In my house (where there’s a porch covering the door), it wouldn’t help much.
Could be! It’s a stock photo.
SO as far as I can tell (via google image search), the first one is a picture of “Frustrated Child” that was picked up for an article on whether or not a toddler smashing his/her head is showing signs of autism.
OK, guys, ONE thing about transgender stuff does make me uncomfortable.
Do you have a budget? That really, REALLY helped my anxiety. I know what I can spend with a guilt-free conscience, then beyond that, I have to start bargaining.
The Northeast. They’re pretty terrible here; you can’t get tickets, and it’s super expensive if you can.
Probably used the wrong word since it’s an actual airline term, but I meant *more* regional than the big, international ones that charge for baggage even though virtually everyone needs baggage on the big international flights.
I think you’re right, but I’m not sure how having access to vast amounts of publishers’ money and having money of your own is really that different.
I think that in the book she does a fair amount of reflecting on that, though. I read it a long time ago, but particularly in Bali, she seemed to sort of get it. She was pretty clueless in India, if I remember correctly, and most of what you said is true.
Logically, that makes sense, but your comment reminds me of a conversation I had with my friend who spends his day in family court:
I convinced my husband to watch this movie by saying, “Hey, wanna watch Jennifer Ganer be really likable for a couple hours?”
I dunno, she tends to go for people with LOT O MONEY. It’s very Gentlemen-Prefer-Blondes of her.
Which is kind of sweet, if you think about it. I mean, in a sad, getting-divorced kind of way. Either that or she has some real dirt on him and he wants her to keep quiet about it, but then it would seem likely that he’d pay her off in secret, no?
I have too! I get that they fly fairly longish distances, but they’re not international beyond North America. They’re mostly catering to people going on fairly short trips. Like they mentioned, a steep proportion of their customers don’t check bags anyway.
