Why would me reiterating the article indicate that I hadn’t read?

It’s not a gross misreading of what you *wrote*, but I’m happy it’s a gross misreading of how you *feel.*
I was the opposite- I knew about Ilsa from Wedding Crashers, but hadn’t seen Enchantment so didn’t know Amy yet- I thought it was Fisher doing a VERY DIFFERENT role.
But, once the wedding is underway and pictures have been taken, all of the annoying parts are done (please tell me that’s the finish line...I can only take so much craziness!)
I think there’s a huge public misperception of the value of different degrees, though. Schools do spend time talking about average salaries for different careers already, but they don’t explicitly connect it to majors, because major does not equal career, *except* for career-training majors, like nursing, education,…
I think pinning this on the populace is a bit off, when we’re encouraged to think this way by credit card companies eager to buy our everlasting servitude.
I think you need to pay attention to the context of the advice, and who is getting taught. It is soooo basic to “spend less than you earn” or have a decent “calories in/calories out” ratio, but all of those numbers are incredibly complex (the first one detailed by this article, but calories in/out doesn’t take into…
Man, I’m sick of people trashing the humanities. Everyone I know with an English degree has an excellent job right now.
Hahaha sure, but then everyone will have to face our SARCASTIC TEACHER COMMENTS.
Yup. I am in the camp that “likes” working out, but even I don’t really like it. I have to gear myself up, then distract myself as I do it (good music when my workouts are short and I’m out of shape, books on tape when I’m in shape and doing longer workouts).
...but our ancestors clearly didn’t like it, because they invented all sorts of wonderful things to help us not do all of that physical activity.
I know; I felt like I was reading something said by a pro-choice person, because the sarcastic paragraph came off as awkwardly worded correct things.
As a teacher, if I’m feeling so-so at the end of the day, I write up sub plans for the next day and get everything all neatly arranged. That way, if things get worse, I can call in easily, but if things stay so-so, I can go in and have an easy day that’s already arranged and labelled and everything.
Feminism is just a red herring.
Maybe they ONLY report on unplanned pregnancies.
You always know a diet is BS when they start talking about their skin, when you had never noticed a skin issue before.
Aaah. I was wondering if the terrible grammar was a dig at the fact that the school was perceived to be unable to pull together a page with correct grammar.
I bet he thinks that he can make a woman pregnant every time he has sex with one (granted, he *does* have some reason to think so), which if he’s let’s say, 40, and started at, say 16, equals having sex less than 10 times per year.
