Why do you think the RPi cares about the screen size? It’s just a digital signal which is converted by the monitor. I have had absolutely 0 issues running 1080p on a 55" TV, all the way from the Pi1 to the Pi3, because it doesn’t matter at all to the Pi how big it is.
