Between seasons 1 and 2 I read all three of the books. They are much better than the show, although that is a rather low bar to have to jump over.

Great thing about this movie is the lack of one liners. These days a hero can't throw a punch without topping it off with some dumb quirky comment. I think Wolverine actually manages to get through his fight with Lady Deathstrike without exchanging a word.

While dating and living with a truly awful, shitty human being—manipulative, abusive, etc—I watched this obsessively.

The show lost me after Gordon abandoned a cop who got shot by Victor who ended up getting killed. It completely lost me after Barbara tries to convince a fuggin' mob boss not to kill her and Gordon. There was a HOLE in my TV, and it's still there because E. Nygma had a fucking "?" on a mug. I keep seeing these reviews…
