The stable old guy who knows how the sausage gets made - this is huge. The guy who can talk to Rethuglicans Xi, and Netanyahooo?

OMG. So that’s what you call it.

Replacing all the rubber and electrical bits - anyone done the entire wiring of a vehicle? Anybody? Curious as to the labor intensity - obviously it varies - but a ballpark...

I’m sure the NYC brain trust would take them out first. Surely?

If I were driving that semi it’d be time for a good nap. If I could relax enough.

Given that I saw a tiny blue Subaru this morning straight-piped and with a hood scoop... A Subaru! You’d think I’d be more tolerant of mods... Nope. Still ND. (Looked it up: Hatchback Impreza).

Absolutely. But given how long it’s going to take us to get rid of cars and trucks, using vehicles that use far less, and emit less as well, seems a bit premature. And although the article doesn’t say so, some might be electric?

HA! Not exactly. But with the same determination if not thrill.

Taught myself to drive stick on the loveseat when I was 15 - I’d still prefer the Civic.

I hate the waste. Ship them somewhere or have an online sale - if they show up again in the city, sell them AGAIN.

Watching the woman about to rear-end my Fiat 126 with nowhere to go. Oncoming traffic in the left lane and a busy parking lot just to the right AFTER a big brick pillar (one of a pair at the entrance). It hurt. I bent the steering wheel.

Dropped his burger in his lap!

She really is. And I can and do still get her up a bit beyond what the local popo would prefer. A fair bit.

YES - for heaven’s sake!? Are we that old? (Do not answer that).

Now my house was a short sale, and I refi-ed it to pay for many much needed improvements made ten years later, but that price tag was still lower than this. And I really don’t think it’s all that.

And the number of people who drive them like they’re invincible is certainly not helping...

This would make an attractive art installation. After being compressed into a cube. I’m sure they won’t charge TOO much to come and haul it away.

Honda stan here. People are idiots.

I would not buy my car at its age or mileage. From someone else. We just do not know how well that vehicle has been maintained.
