Yes.

He’s not remaking anything. Also his version is more than an edit, as is it’s a couple of hours longer with most of the scenes never being put in the theatrical version. This includes entire subplots, changes to the storyline, and even entire characters missing from the story. This is more like Ridley Scott’s Kingdom

That version is missing all the effects shots and sound editing. Now Snyder is also filming several minutes of new extra scenes.

Celebrities are like normal people, but they have wider influence so it can be worse.

I snuck in an entire regular/medium-size pizza in my backpack. I like to think I was the reason theaters in my country started checking bags before showings.

Now playing

Her Young Hollywood award speech is legendary.

I mean, have you seen the number of characters Tolkien wrote into these stories? This series is going to take every character mentioned in passing and has whole episodes about them, probably.

Remember how they turned The Hobbit into a trilogy?

LOL I just saw someone say this is like losing two Black Panthers in a year.

Someone at WB is sweating, that’s for sure.

Also while Snyder do show support for him, most of the people backing Fisher are his costars and every other POC and liberal/lefty-type on social media (and those that ignore or oppose Fisher are usually of a certain skin color FOR SOME REASON).

Yeah, this is an entirely alien sentiment to normal people. You might as well say “there is something wrong with your life is your two best friends is a single father and a woman in a hijab”.

This is a gross comment. Whedon’s long history of being terrible with people is not new.

Honestly you are the first person I find that thinks this is related to anything other than Whedon’s transgressions.

Best I can remember, Fisher wants a 3rd party investigator he can trust not being in WB’s pocket. Sounds like he got his wish. Interestingly, the only big publication saying Whedon’s firing has something to do with the JL controversy is Entertainment Weekly. EW is owned by Warner Media.

It’s a bit weird seeing all this support for this decision because everywhere else this is seen as WB bullying an abuse victim. I feel like WB might probably soon replace Heard on Aquaman as well because they don’t want to deal with any drama whatsoever.

Brett Ratner, Kevin Tsujihara, now Whedon. Who else is going to be on WB’s creepy men chopping block?

Calling Ray Fisher “crazy” may be accepted in the AV Club bubble, but the optics on saying that about a black man talking about abuse in the wider public space (or even right next door at Jezebel or The Root) might not be good.
