If you want to save money, I’d look at a early/mid 2000's Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon. They can tow 7-8,000 lbs, the 5.3L gets pretty good mileage and the whole drivetrain is relatively bulletproof. (I used to see 5.3/4L60's in the dealership with 300,000+ miles on them still going strong.)
