And their success can be measured by the 10s of millions of DeLorean’s on the road today!

Given that the majority of trucks are not used for “truck things” and most of the rest are only occasionally used for that, I don’t think your counterpoint holds.
Yeah I was really shocked when I looked up the price after driving it. I expected it to be a lot more expensive than it is.
I drove a BMW i4 a few months ago, I would buy that in a heartbeat over a Model S (the closest analog). Sure, it doesn’t have as high end of specs, but can out out sports car 0-60 times, level 3 charging and more importantly still has physical controls and remains a very enjoyable car to drive with an overall high…
Looking at new car sales is not a good picture of what the car market is like. The new car market is skewed heavily toward the upper middle class which is who primarily buys new cars.
It would not make business sense to buy Tesla at anywhere near it’s current valuation, which is absurd.
The price would need to diminish by at least 90% before it was even remotely properly valued. Toyota has some faults, but it’s not run by idiots, hah.
No chance that any company buys up Tesla which is ~100x overvalued at this time.
At this point Tesla is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Previously Musk did a great job hyping their products. Now with the ongoing Twitter fiasco and for other reasons I’ll mention, he is their worth liability and his net negative is skyrocketing.
While some renewable use cases don’t work out, there is a huge use case that is near ideal: cooling homes and businesses with solar (either home based or grid based). Conveniently, when cooling is needed is the same time that solar works best.
So to recap, 10? years ago Musk made the promise that all Teslas sold had all the hardware needed for FSD and that the software was due “soon!” and would cost 3k?. It’s 10? years later now and the system is still barely functional in limited circumstances. And now he wants $15,000 for it, hah!
Hmm, you missed:
If you have a debt, the person or organization you own money to cannot refuse legal tender, such as U.S. currency.
Yeah, the only way hydrogen becomes economical is if we have cheap, abundant clean energy to produce the electricity needed to extract hydrogen from water.
Seems to me a HCF engine replacement would be just as (technically) feasible as an H-ICE replacement. Why build an H-ICE engine that ultimately just spins an input shaft attached to a transmission when you can build a smaller, lighter, more robust electric motor that is HCF powered to spin the same input shaft.
As a software developer this video scares the hell out of me.
There are problems with battery swaps:
The whole “Joe Biden made gas really expensive!” is complete and utter bullshit. If you are repeating it, you are doing nothing but spreading propaganda. Gas is still cheaper than its 20 year average even before you consider (average) inflation.
Well, I gave you a chance but since you really just want to dishonestly put words in my mouth I see no reason to converse with you.
Bluntly, any judge that has let someone off of with a slap on the wrist (for any reason) over serious crime like rape should also be in prison.
