People are caring about things that I don’t care about! I have to stop them.
The point being, this is an obvious category error. The players aren’t a real government, they’re a simulated government. If the game provides enough of a framework that people are inspired to simulate a government, then for the purposes of the game, that simulated government exists. Whether *you* think that the game…
The purpose of a gun is to provide self-defense, act as a tool for hunting, and provide entertainment at a gun range. None of those things exist in Call of Duty. “Shooting” is basically limited to players’ avatars pretending to shoot each other and then pretending to respawn and try again. I don’t really see how a…
Stop clicking on shit that doesn’t interest you.
It already is happening. Without you.
Note to “Destiny 2" players: THIS is what a “friendgame” is.
Absolutely and that’s why I’ve loved it from day 1. I don’t like multiplayer generally and was happy that NMS wasn’t full MP. I think I’ve found 2 systems so far that someone else had discovered before me and that’s just fine by me!
And isn’t that kind of the point of the game? To be out in undiscovered country? And discover?
I still don’t understand how people get anywhere close to each other in this game. Hell, I started out when the game launched around 175k light years from the center and as of the last update I’m over 500k ly from it after over 300 hours of gameplay, I can’t imagine trying to hit a single group of stars in a 1…
Way to go!
Fun fact, I just had a talk with one of EA’s lead engineers yesterday and I was surprised to learn that they have an engineer who earned their PhD studying how to simulate grass and leaves graphically with high fidelity. I’m sure she’ll be amused to see that someone took the time to really notice her work.
That’s still pretty much textbook sociopathy. A sociopath isn’t reckless in their aims, they’re very calculated and considerate. Revealing your desire to use someone, or that you allowed others to suffer in order to build up personal benefits would damage your ability to do so again in the future.
I’d advise also checking out The Satanic Temple, as their philosophical view differs greatly from the CoS. It’s hard to disagree with a lot of the TST tenets as well.
As a Christian, I have to concede that this is my observation, more often than not. What passes as Christianity (or, more accurately, who call themselves Christian) in our culture is very troubling. Hard work and success are not bad in themselves, but those become the goal and measure of faithfulness too often. Not…
Sounds more like Church of Sociopaths, but whatever floats your boat I guess as long as it doesn’t bring harm to others.
“Wallhack the Sky” is the name of my new Techno-Grunge band.
Resources are finite but there’s a difference between the resources of a company like Hello Games and a company like Ubisoft
Why not shoot for the stars? Someone has to. Games have become too stale and cookie cutter for their own good. For as much flack as No Man’s Sky gets, they might have aimed for the grandiose and missed but at least they had an ambitious vision.
Now I want pizza. Thanks Alan.
