That is a top rate opener/closer combo, but the opening trifecta of "VGPS", "Do You Remember Walter?", and "Picture Book" is too good for me to pass up.

I mean, the answer is clearly Pet Sounds. But part of me wonders if maybe the real answer is The Kinks are the Village Green Preservation Society.

Depends on how you feel about Wedding Crashers, I guess.

Bryan Cranston won a few…

That was just so perfect. Exactly the word a kid who sees prep school as a great opportunity would use, and yet such a devastating slap in the face to Philip and Elizabeth. An excellent bit of writing (and editing, to go to commercial right after).

Without question, the Black Crowes are derivative. And yes, they had the Amorica album cover thing. But the insult of frat-boy is either wildly mis-aimed or indicative of not having listened to….anything of theirs? Seriously, I can't think of a single song in their catalog that would qualify as frat-rock. At least

Oh, I remember. I just figure why not?

I'm so damn jazzed for this. I almost hope it's stupid, because when it got to thinky is when it got off track (although I do think season 4 was a step up from season 3).

I love DWJ, but bringing Coach back was not a good idea (even though they eventually managed to get some good episodes out of it).

Angelica Pickles.

I can't decide if your wording is calling rape a scientific phenomenon, or if it's saying that the stories explained either scientific phenomena OR rape. Either way, I'm sure your right.

Wig and Pen is also good, assuming it's still there.

Yep. The quality there can definitely fluctuate depending on the day/time/workers, but overall I really love it. I know quite a few folks there who don't care for it much; I think that just speaks to how much difference there is in people's preferences.

Pizza is good. Most kinds are good. Punch in Minneapolis, Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix, Shakespeare's in Columbia, MO, Regina's in Boston, Juliana's in Brooklyn, Fong's in Des Moines, 900 Degrees in Manchester NH, Lou Malnati's in Chicago….the list goes on forever.

I'm going with catching up on some movies I've missed/classics. Have a list of 52, and I'll be watching one each week. Some are truly classics, there are a few animated, a few docs, a few foreign films, and quite a few that exist in the general cultural discourse, but that I've managed to miss. Should be fun.

I fully acknowledge that the death of POTUS and most of Congress would certainly have a major impact on world events, but calling the scenario apocalyptic is going way way too far. There is no way Designated Survivor fits into the list of examples for the first entry.

Missing from list: Swiss Army Man, Hello My Name Is Doris, and Sing Street. Would take any of those three (and a number of others) over Midnight Special, for instance.

I stopped watching halfway through the next-to-last season, but I also have never revisited the show and probably never will.

There are lists - multiple lists - that don't have The Americans on them. For absolute shame, people.

Minnie Driver and John Ross Bowie are both really good in it, and well paired (as characters). On her end, that's sort of par for the course. He has been a delightful surprise thus far, though.
