Good to know the switch to Hulu hasn't dented TMP's commitment to eschewing character development in favor of just casting as many people as possible to be on the show.

Two fuck yeahs for Two Fucks for Bela

Hartford and Chappelle made up last year, in a surprise appearance. Being there for that was pretty great, actually. He was very warmly received and told a couple good jokes as he explained what had happened.

I didn't like this one as much as many, though it was still a very good movie.

Not surprisingly, I'll say I, Robot. Or The Caves of Steel, whichever one the Will Smith movie I was smart enough not to see was more directly based off.

The scene from Shawshank is actually what got me to buy Hank's greatest hits package. I don't care for much country, but his stuff is legit.

I can't decide which is better - the Reaper Rap or his Shawshank character belting out Hank Williams' "Lovesick Blues" in Andy's library. Sadler is one of those actors I'm always happy to see pop up in something I'm watching.

"a scene-stealing Stanley Tucci"

Well, and Tiffani Thiessen.

John Teti is spot on about Apollo 13. I remember that exact feeling - how in fuck had I not heard about this crazy shit? Especially once I learned that the movie was one of the most accurate truth-to-film adaptations going. Reliving that initial wave of suspense would be pretty great, even if, even now, I can't watch

SUNTANAMA!

I love you, Tracy. Peace and strength.

No matter how great the theme song was, and how game Rockapella is for continuing to perform it with a smile, and how much fun this show was when I was a kid…."sticky-fingered filcher" sounds dirty as hell.

Does the borderline militant TMP group still meet at A.V. Club, or have they moved on to another location? Posting in those boards was a very strange phenomenon. I don't miss the show even a little, but I kind of miss being scolded for not understanding comedy. In an asburdist sort of way.

Want.

Becca James is spot on about the 80s. For me, it's Weird Science that holds that flag. I also concur with John Teti - Match Game is a great example and so is the Dawson era Family Feud. His lechery and particular brand of humor really plays well, and punches up the show a bit (having watched some of the Steve Harvey

The world needs grand gestures that cause massive media coverage and spark national conversations. And it will never find itself running short of people trying to make those gestures.

This version is fine, but Newman's own rendition is a far superior one.

Really enjoyed this season even through the difficult middle section. Hoping that season 2 can ground Phil a little more and possibly find a way to introduce fewer new characters as Phil and Carol move on. Here and there, I think new people are fine. But building that little community made the show less about Forte

Yeah. The first Damn Yankees album is pretty great.
