I’m sorry, but other people made sf/horror/fantasy movies with teens in the 80's than Spielberg so about you give them a little credit? Hell, he didn’t have anything to do with the best one:

Zapped sounds almost exactly like the excellent podcast, Hello from the Magic Tavern
I’m not surprised that Vixen is joining LoT, but I am surprised that it isn’t the same actress, and even more surprised that they found a cool way to explain that. Time Travel fixes everything!
Who cares? Go see it and decide for yourself. Film critics aren’t product testers.
I had a group of players word-lawyer a wish phrase for a solid two hours before they came up with their final wording. And I managed to still screw the wish up for them on a technicality —that is the most sublime moment a DM can enjoy.
Fake out Peter’s real dad is going yo be ....
We’re talking about someone who named a character “Wolf MacWolf*”and then expected the whole werewolf thing to be an amazing plot twist. Your font of subtle foreshadowing and delicately considered naming precision is in another castle.
Is it just me or is Chris Pine looking less human and more Thunderbird as time goes on?
So why have they dropped the Star Trek name from the series? It’s like Paramount is ashamed of the property or something. There is no way that the general public associates Nu-Kirk or his outfit with the franchise like they did with The Shat and his uniform. Shit, they dont even have the iPod Enterprise anywhere on…
Right, if DC played by Marvel TV rules, we’d have a half-assed Checkmate TV show and there wouldn’t be Flash/GA/LoT/Supergirl shows.
Wait, wait, wait... They replaced the Death Cure... With the Cure For Wellness? Is that a threat, Fox?
Honest to god, I don’t know how you would do a LoEG or Universal movie monster-verse that was better than Penny Dreadful.
this episode, I genuinely cannot...it’s probably the show’s best episode ever. 3 actors, all amazing. what an honour to get to watch it.
- Not to keep beating the drum, but Penny Dreadful has been soooo good you guys. They did a bottle episode last week that was next level.
I have to say, Penny Dreadful if fantastic this season. The first two were fun, but something about this season is so much more satisfying to me.
One detail you missed in your review... It was a *Satanic* church in Russia where the religious figure exploded. I believe that hints at the force involved being perhaps less than divine?
I love that one shot of the little girl staring after Tulip as she drives away — with that huge smile on her face. She’s completely inspired and beaming. It’s been a lifetime since I’ve read the comics so I don’t remember if that little girl is a character who comes back but it’s clear that she’s found her new hero in…
I’m not thrilled about the idea of Ron Perlman as Cable. He’s a good guy, but he’d be Ron Perlman as Cable. I’d like to see someone in the role that lets you focus more on the character and less on the actor.
Yeah, that sentence could be used to describe 90% of game franchises enjoyed by people of all ages. And you could easily add plenty of other entries to that list of churned-out genres, including JRPG, CRPG, inde-platformer-with-a-twist, MOBA, FPS, Survival Horror, sports, etc. etc. etc.
If I had to wager a guess, I’d say millions of impressionable teenagers spending five bucks or so for the same sort of game with different characters. But hey, clowns.
