True, but I would think this kind of fine link, chain mail could be made with modern alloys to block this kind of attack. Then again most modern body armor is designed to stop getting hurt by a hand gun or assault rifle, or at least you getting knocked down with a nasty bruise vs. a sucking chest wound.
