Bought myself some new black uggs for $175. They're ugly, but comfortable for me and I don't give a fuck.

I agree...if she's no longer happy doing what she's doing let her take a fucking break and be with her kids. Or let her leave the industry entirely and open a dance studio or something! I never liked her music but it sucks to see someone so unhappy.
The only single-items set of clothes I've spent $100+ for in the last few years have been a suit (wear the same one to all job interviews) and my wedding dress. Said as a person who makes under 50k.
My mother, who is rather old school, told me when I first started dating my (now) husband that I needed to "train" him. It drove me mad.
It's GQ but you're right. Uggggh.
She's such a great actress and is growing up to be adorable. Gawd I hope Hollywood doesn't ruin her and some idiot doesn't convince her she needs to show the world she's a "grown up" by being on the cover of Maxim in 5 years. It doesn't look like Emma Watson has fallen into that trap so there's hope!
Pretty sure the "star weights" are now 105 pounds or less for someone who is 5'5.
I watch Mad Men but forgot she was on it....mostly just because of the long spans of time between seasons.
One of my heroes is Jane Espenson, she has written for/worked behind the scenes at Battlestar Galactica, wrote for Gilmore Girls, and a bunch of other shows I'm obsessed with: https://twitter.com/JaneEspenson
If Alexis Bledel is anything like Rory Gilmore there's no way in hell she'd read 50 shades or be in the movie. But I don't know anything about Alexis Bledel...other then that she was in Gilmore Girls an Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants soooo...
For that matter it's not very nice to put down those people who got/are getting online degrees. Those degrees or even trade schools are viable options for many people (and god knows we have plenty of liberal arts majors around—I got one of those too).
Sexing any of the character who were children during most of the series grosses me out (fanfic? I can't even), but Bill and Sirius were always the most attractive of the bunch. And maybe a 28 year old Neville since I love nerds.
I am a fan of both really badly written fiction and terrific fiction. My latest books have been Orange is the New Black, Contact, the Wheel of Time series, and Love in the Time of Cholera. I'm a fan of reading and promoting people reading as a hobby period. There are so many worse ways to waste one's time then reading…
My typical make up face (concealer, eyeliner, lipgloss) takes 10 minutes to do at the most. Hair is almost always in a ponytail. Just from guessing, many of my coworkers have a similar routine...I agree with you that this is likely more of a problem that Glamour writers have then regular peeps.
I'm part Hispanic part Greek but I look like I could be part black (I'm sure I am down the line). Honestly, I've gotten the most unfriendly interactions with white folks. I went to some WASPY schools and was pretty much invisible. I ended up making friends with the Hindu kids lol. There was never anything openly…
He is an asshole...but I dislike when activist parents send out their kids to events as sort of living, breathing, protest signs. You will feel guilty! Look! It's a child!
Well....Jezebel covers a lot of women's issues because that's their choice of topic. Women's issues (and fashion and celebrities and whatever else is in their tagline that's no longer at the top of the page after various redesigns).
Kids can just be assholes....I think it's a combo of having heard other people say it before so they think it's a big insult and them not having the sensitivity to realize it also makes them bigots.
She's totally going to read this. She reads all your articles. It's like she's obsessed with you or something. A BIG LESBIAN CRUSH ON YOU.
In my experience the only way you can "suck" at some simple housework is if the person doing the housework just doesn't give a shit. So, clean(er) dishes aren't super important to you, so you don't bother doing it well. If you live at home and are happy with how clean your dishes are, have at it! It's a perk of living…
