Capcom has more than one team working on RE stuff. Heck we’ve heard rumors that REmake 3 is being done by a different team than REmake 2, so it’s likely that this is but one RE project that is in the works.

I really don’t understand the reverence for this game. The controls feel so sticky and the platforming is slightly sloppy. I was so taken aback compared to what everyone kept glorifying it as: it’s now one of only three games I’ve ever returned to Steam.

Can something come out about this game that isn’t a nightmare scenario or a social media riddle?

Sure but I can’t think of a more miserable experience than greatly disliking the character you’re playing for hours on end.

I’m not personally interested in this pick, but for the game I think it’s a great pick.

I hate that I can’t love this game, but it’s stuck between Fire Emblem and Persona designs with, ultimately, no personality. The characters are the definition of milquetoast and the story feels so anime it’s predictable. After beating it: I don’t think I got anything out of my experience but disappointment.

It is. It’s a fine game, but not the pedestal of design people make it out to be.

Well at the very least I’m going to look at both sides, their Twitter and videos, then come to a conclusion myself. These bandwagons everyone treads are too frightening in the “join us or die” mentality.

To be fair combat fell into 3 buckets: funny heat actions, big swinging, strong styles for early to mid game, and that one inevitable counter move that wins you the late game and secret boss fights. Can’t wait to fight Amon with time to breath.
