Pretty sure it's Stone Sour, right?
Pretty sure it's Stone Sour, right?
I would never watch another Transformer movie after seeing the first one, but I have to admit I am fascinated by Michael Bay. Pain & Gain is such an interesting piece of cultural criticism, whether or not it's intentional. It makes me think that he might have it in him to be like an American Gaspar Noé. I'd like to…
Have you recently ingested psychedelic drugs? That could explain it.
Two questions:
Just mute it.
Love the review!
No.
Hard to say which is more overrated…
Huh. Wonder if p4k got an exclusive or something. Theirs went up like right away.
I do wonder if they'll get around to actually reviewing the album. Seems like quite a bit of stalling…
The album is really growing on me on the second listen. Drew Barrymore is still the jam tho.
I'm listening to PH right now and the percussion effects are just phenomenal. Listening to the new one, I'm like, 'where is that!?'
I will say that Perfect Places grows on me every time I hear it.
I don't know, Pure Heroine just had some great beats and some irresistible rhythms that are largely missing from this one, or they're doled out too sparingly.
The Loveless half of that one is really good. I wish the rest of the album was more like that.
How do you say her name?
Man, Pure Heroine is one of my favorite albums but this one ain't doing much for me. It's not much of a shock after I didn't love any of the singles, but I had held out some hope there'd be some gems. I don't know if there's a single track on this album though that is as good as any from PH. I'm sad.
Misread and Friends are really good too, and the whole thing works really well as an album.
The Shins were supposed to play between Charli and Lorde at that festival I was at that got rained out, and now you've reopened that wound. Thanks a lot!
I really like that Fazerdaze album but yeah, none of the other songs are anywhere near as sublime as Lucky Girl. One of my favorite singles of the year.
