Man that's crazy to think they were so good and then some of them just dropped out of music, if that's indeed what happened.

War Without Mercy…more like John Dour, amirite?!

I guess you said they broke up after that album… anything I should look for as far as different projects after they went their separate ways?

Thanks! Yeah I ended up listening to the full album earlier. I love it. Looking forward to checking out the rest of their stuff, starting with the ones you posted.

So, a bit like a clumsier Malcolm Gladwell?

Really loving the new album Morningside by Fazerdaze. Just some really good, very poppy indie rock. Pretty much flawless, I'd say, with a handful of stellar tracks. I can already tell I'll be replaying it a bunch.

I've never listened to their debut but I just listened to the new one and it's really good. I kind of agree with the review that some of the songs in the middle run together, but they make it sound like that's the case for all of them between Corner Store and Static Somewhere, which is not the case. Your description of the Faith Healers album is very intriguing. I'm gonna have to check that out.

I came across the Pond song Paint Me Silver yesterday and it's really good. I need to listen to the rest of the album.

It's not about ideological purity. It's about credibility. This dude doesn't have any, and for good reason.

They've tried:

This fucking sucks. I can't really explain why but this just feels like a real gut punch. Poor girl. Sometimes things are just too shitty for words.

Yup. I probably will not listen to this album, but I will definitely try to catch them live. They put on a helluva show.

I liked the tie-in with the art stuff, but the show was far from essential viewing.

White Collar begs to differ. White noise and laundry, it's right there in the name.

Interesting observation! I've been sporadically trying to get into more podcasts but I suppose I am still like the lifestyle podcast listener with both DC's Hardcore History and his Common Sense show as the only ones I keep up with.

I think in a certain setting it would be absolutely amazing to see her on stage with just her and an acoustic guitar. At the particular venue she played the other night (outdoor, large-ish), she could have used a drummer. Especially since a lot of her songs have amazing drums. I mean I was like 10 feet from her and
