Thank you for reminding me about The Blow! I think I heard just a little bit of them a while back and really liked them but then I kind of forgot to seek out more of their stuff.

Yeah they're very different but you can kind of detect threads connecting the two in her vocal style, if you're looking for it. I was surprised to find out that was her background but also it kind of made a ton of sense, haha.

I guess you probably know that Mountain Man was the Appalachian roots trio that the singer from Sylvan Esso was in (or at least you do if you read the same pitchfork review I did). They're really good though! But I also really like that kind of music.

Good stuff. Twilight Galaxy and Stadium Love are really good tracks. I swear I've heard Gold Guns Girls before but couldn't say where.
