"The way to break that cycle is for women to be heard, and the way for that to happen is for men, every once in a while, to shut the fuck up and let someone else talk."

Well said. Three Kings is a great, great movie.

That would be the start of my hatesong about Elle King's 'Ex's & Oh's' (sic)

Yeah I've really soured on him. He was spitting out some straight up bullshit about Jill Stein during the election. Like stuff that went far beyond 'she's not a good candidate and don't waste your vote' (not that I agree with that) and was trashing some good policies that she advocated in a really deceitful way. Sadly I think you're right. I'll still watch, but I used to be giddy about watching this show every Sunday. Now it's kinda like I'll catch it when I catch it.

Hadn't heard about that Stalin movie. Sounds like it's gonna be awesome. Didn't have any idea what Ianucci was working on.

Oh fuck yeah please let this happen!

These are pretty much my thoughts. The show was missing the kind of singular wit it'd had in the past, and they compensated by turning the nastiness up to 11. It was a bit like a dish that had been over-salted. It wasn't terrible, just kind of unpleasant.

I actually really liked this movie. The show looks like they rehash the same plot with the same characters, which is an interesting choice, but I suppose it could work out.

I didn't catch the episode tonight but I'll probably check it out tomorrow. I hate to say it though, but I'm really not excited for this season. I thought the last season was really subpar and that Ianucci was missed dearly. It wasn't quite as bad as Community season four, but it was similar.

Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari

Hey, I think H.R. McMaster is looking for you!

I mean, not like 'funny haha'…

The hot take is coming from inside the house!

I'm not so sure. Do you read this site? More like clickbait than a joke I'd say.

That I can't tell ya.

I mean I'm sure there were some people.

Seems pretty reasonable. How is that a hot take?

Shame about the theater. My local arthouse has a smaller screen than I'd wish for and the sound is nothing to write home about, but all in all it's an enjoyable experience. My only real gripe is that I wish they'd get movies like this sooner.
