I haven't purposely avoided it or anything. I thought Dogma was pretty good and I didn't even dislike Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, although it was pretty forgettable.

A pop one would be fun for sure. I was thinking that another one would be the most quintessentially awful rock song from each decade. Like which one contributed most to the decline of the genre from one decade to the next, haha.
Haha, I meant South Park. The fragile mind thing was a line from the movie.
They should've stuck with the NC-17. That movie warped my fragile little mind.
I mean, I get it, Americans are uptight and god forbid that teens become aware of masturbation. The one story about the MPAA that seemed pretty ridiculous is when they wanted to give the South Park movie an NC-17 which I guess would have kept it out of tons of theaters, but they just resubmitted the movie without any…
That is fucking ridiculous.
I don't know, I'd say there are some that are at the borderline and kind of justify a separate category in the middle that is OK for older/more mature children only. Like, say, Antichrist, for example.
I thought about Seven Nation Army. That's a solid pick.
This was an awesome question and was a lot of fun to research this afternoon! Your list is really good and I'm going to go ahead and agree with your picks for 60s and 80s. Obviously the 60s is tough but I would have definitely gone for something on the White Album and that one is a great choice. Welcome to the Jungle…
I have not! I will check it out though! A new release would be amazing. I only got into her in the past week but I am already itching for more.
Agreed. That one is a standout for sure.
There's something to that I'd say. I do gravitate to the ones where the whole thing just comes together like it does on The Future's Void.
Oh man, you must have edited your comment after my initial reply last night because there is NO WAY I would have missed a mention of Sky Ferreira! I honestly don't think there is an album on earth I've listened to as much as Night Time, My Time. She is the best. I can't wait till she finally releases her new album.
Yesterday Thursday Girl popped into my head and I was like I have to listen NOW. Then it happened again this morning when I read your comment. Great song.
Just listened to the Tei Shi album. Lift Me and Crawl were the two main standouts on the first listen but it's all really good. Keep Running is a good one too that I think I had already heard as a single.
I love Hole and Live Through This is great. Pretty On the Inside will always be my favorite Hole album though. I think it's the first album I ever bought. I really should go ahead and get their collection on vinyl.
Cerulean Salt is pretty much a perfect album. I'm not surprised lightning didn't strike twice. I'm just happy that the follow up is a really, really good album that I really enjoy listening to. I like that it sounds different. I think all the new sounds she incorporated work really well.
Glad you like Tei Shi! I remember I posted a YouTube link a while back and you weren't crazy about it, but I know how it is, sometimes something grabs you right away and sometimes it grabs you later. I thought you'd like her though so I'm happy that's now the case. (Now if we could just get you to see the light on…
I really need to give it a closer listen. The problem is that I keep just wanting to listen to the other two.
It definitely captures the zeitgeist. The cynical, pandering, fraudulent zeitgeist.
