Sure we can be best friends. Definitely one of the better music discussions I've had on this site. I won't hold it against you that you don't love Charli XCX as much as I do. Just don't say anything bad about Sky Ferreira…

Yeah it's probably my own idiosyncrasy that I never thought of Lana as very poppy. Honestly though her whole discography is about due for a relisten.

There is a terrific Italian pasta dish that has peas, red onions, ham, cream, and Parmesan, but it is not carbonara.

Not gonna argue about the Grimes or Lana. Love both of those, though for whatever reason I've never thought of Lana as all that "poppy."

I think it's got plenty of creativity and hooks. Again, I'm not taking about her body of work but her latest. I've been listening to it about 5-10 times every day since it came out, so I guess you could say I'm hooked.

Upvoted for the first part. You gotta listen to Number 1 Angel my man! Sooooo good.

Nah, it's great. Damn near as good as it gets for the genre. Maybe just not your cup of tea.

Headline for the article! A bit tongue in cheek. Seriously though, her new album is really, really, really good. A big step up from anything she's done previously.

Nary a mention of Charli XCX? That should be the headline! Her new album is so great. Already got my ticket to see her (among others, but mostly her) at the Free Press Summer Fest in Houston.

Yup. Someone above mentioned something about the Democratic Party having to force Medicare-for-All down voters' throats. The reverse is by far the more likely scenario for how that plays out. A lot of voters are going to be eyeing the primaries this time around. That is going to be a big issue, like get on board or

I totally agree with your last point. I don't agree that it would take some kind of hurculean effort to convince a critical mass of voters that it is a good thing. A majority already think so.

#ProtectTheWetlands!

Remember when Hillary said that single-payer healthcare would "never, ever" happen? Firing up the base like that, hard to believe she lost.

The "traitor" Flynn. We can always count on you for a thoughtful, measured opinion when it comes to the subject of US-Russian relations.

So does that make the AIDS level opioid epidemic Obama's holocaust?

Idiot and Idioter

I liked it but have to say I pretty much agree, although I Mal a L'aise is a good track. It kinda just made me want to listen to Camp Cope, which is not a bad thing.

I'm still here. It's bad. I mean Greg Abbott and Dan Patrick. Yikes.

Actually, aliens named Jesus are fairly common in Texas.

Haha, fair enough. And I haven't actually read the piece so I'm just speaking generally. Some ex post self-awareness is always a good thing, but there's nothing wrong with including the "this is how I felt in the moment" part as well, and there's nothing that says that that feeling need be rational.
