Personally I wanted him to die by the end, pretty much for that exact reason.

The Other Guys isn't quite as sublime as Step Brothers, IMO, but both are great.

Yeah I guess the take away is that it's a pretty diverse state with a lot of different regional dynamics.

I more or less agree with everything you're saying. If I was in charge, I'd start by granting some type of permanent resident status to everyone who has been here for years and has family and roots in the community, etc. Ensure legal protection and make them more difficult to exploit.

Don't know where you're from but that is not even close to my experience having lived in Texas almost my entire life.

I saw a quote the other day in regard to the marches taking place in Milwaukee and it so perfectly encapsulates my views that it's worth quoting at length:

Did I just wake up in an alternate universe where Step Brothers isn't one of the funniest movies of all time?

Total Control by The Motels

That's hilarious. Is that a line from the book? It's been like a decade since I read it. Now I am wanting to read it again…

They'll have to pry making fun of Lena Dunham out of my cold, dead hands.

I guess I'm still not understanding what you're trying to say. Who is giving them a monopoly on economic anxiety? How so? Who is losing the nuance that other people have difficulties?

Yeah I definitely had a crush on Aglaya Ivanovna in The Idiot. Also Dorotea in Don Quixote.

Goddamn either of those would be fucking amazing.

…or maybe it's that the fact that they're doing better than some of the poorest people in America doesn't mean they're doing great, and maybe life and making ends meet is pretty difficult for all of them?

As little processed as possible is a good rule, but other than that whatever works for you is best. It sounds like you're not exactly flying blind either so good for you m.

Also, I did glance at the first one, and it cites Asian populations - i.e. the ones who eat soy processed by traditional methods. And I will note that an increase of estrogen vis-a-vis testosterone could certainly be associated with a slight decrease in prostate cancer risk, but that doesn't mean it's desirable

Honestly I think it a lot of it is individual. Some people will do great with eating meat and others won't. There are a number of studies out there linking reactions that people have to certain foods with their blood type. This corresponds with my own experience. I would recommend looking into that and finding out

I don't know, isolated soy protein is linked to all sorts of hormonal effects like the aromatizing of testosterone into estrogen, which, when chronic, can lead to hormonal imbalance and obesity among other diseases.

That is kind of what I was getting at by saying "what passes for" orthodoxy within the organization. I think you can find periods of greater and lesser orthodoxy (which I mean as a neutral description - whether good or bad depends on the content) for each party, and today the Republicans exhibit much greater orthodoxy

Oh god, I recently drove through Arkansas and I have to say the food choices on the interstate were abysmal. Basically just McDonalds and Taco Bell at every exit, usually connected to a gas station, along with a Waffle House every so often. I ended up having to eat at Waffle House for the first and hopefully only
