What made Sleeping Dogs the exception?

A: Yes. It's not too long, but (especially) for a buck it's much more fulfilling than some of the more popular "endless" puzzle games...

I found book #...4? at the Silver Snail on Yonge once...but as someone trying to start the series from the beginning, that was less than helpful. Where is the Beguiling?

I especially second what lurkerbynature said — like many commenters in this thread, I began watching both BBC & Elementary as white-noise shows. I think both have merit, in particular I like that Elementary takes a particular element of Doyle's canon (Sherlock's addictions) and explores it further.

My games aren't usually quiet, but I've found they certainly get chattier when the other players hear my female voice. It's a little weird, because I'm not exceedingly sociable around acquaintances. Usually I fall stoic as well.

This is true; EA is also perfectly capable of going without any of the profits from this bundle, unlike indie devs that don't have the same privilege. I'm thinking of the Frozenbyte Bundle that the studio used to raise capital for their sequel game, Trine 2.
