That “he wasn’t just a black leader” stuff rides the line of the same “all lives matter” shit he always says, but congrats, Bernie, you managed to not trip over your nuts in a room full of black folks again.

Thank you for nailing what was bothering me about that. A small thing, yet not so small.

“Person of colonizing descent.” On the surface this phrase sounds & feels so easy and... but it’s really a group of words signifying bloodshed, destruction, enslavement, appropriation - mostly genocide!!

That really does seem to be a big part of the problem — that they really do think their ... conceptualization of the problem, complete with what they believe are the limitations of its scope, really are original and nobody has ever thought of them before.

I enjoy it, LOL. I’ve seen it begin to be adapted into common parlance even though pipo (lol) are still spelling it wrong. One day, we’ll look up and Michael’s name will be in Merriam-Webster as the founding etymologist of “wypipo” :D

I heard a record scratch upon reading that line. I swear it on the Flying Spaghetti Monster. This was the exact moment the WTF took hold. 

Right in the middle of the humor, BANG, there is that poignant statement.

You cannot possibly understand what it is like to live in a cage built by hands that are not your own, knowing that you will never escape

You point out the stereotypes and those damned people keep writing in as if their version of the stereotype is somehow different. Miss “I got looked at funny once so I totally know what it’s like” and Judge “I’ve never seen racism so it can’t be THAT bad” are 200 times worse than folks like Grand Wizard.
