A number of people have already mentioned this, but this game had one of the crappiest Strategy Guides ever made. It relied heavily on PlayOnline. Basically every page of the guide would have one to five little boxes. They would say something like,
I though FFXII's plot was a welcome change from the usual "insane villain destroy world!" thing they'd been doing since Kefka happened. More localised and focused on the characters and a ground-level conflict rather than world-spanning ancient powers of DOOM.
