the research you quoted fails to address the fact that light is being shot out at your eyes. the refresh rate is one thing, but you are still staring directly into a light source. they are two separate factors.

this would not get you an engineering position. i'm actually having a hard time figuring out what kind of job this would get you. especially the QR one. your resume has maybe 10 seconds, if you're lucky, of facetime. if i saw one that was a face shot with a QR code, i'd stare at it, and then toss it.

it kind of has to be safari, doesn't it? it's the only browser allowed to use the nitro engine.

rooting it to run android is a misnomer, as it's already running android. "rooting" is a term associated with devices running android already.

brushing AND flossing in the shower is a terrible waste of water.

it's almost "duh." the nexus line just isn't as known as the others, Samsung's S line in particular. fragmentation is also only in regards to the OS itself. just about all apps will work from 2.2 and up.

VOTE: Swiftkey 3

I thought I did. let's try a different approach.

It's because of the points you brought up that a wide range of music should be required. If anything else, it's simply because different genres can have very different ranges, and if you aren't trying to spot that difference in these different ranges, what's the point?

i really like your points, and this entire thread in general. i'd promote if i could.

go back to lifehacker's audio week.

i'm glad that some of the readers here still hold onto their brains. how an audio "experiment" expects any credibility without at least some classical is beyond me.

an experiment of this sort cannot be expected to be taken seriously without some classical and/or jazz. various sounds need to be represented, and the experiment simply can't be taken seriously without that full range of sounds.

bit-rate shouldn't be discarded entirely.

i can see area control being difficult, if you're using this method right next to your garden. however, that wasn't the point of the article. i'm just bringing up another quick and easy way of killing weeds.

a heavy salting is also effective. so effective, it's been used since biblical times.

they're lying about the lack of consensus on how it should sound. the subjectivity lies in whether you think it sounds like it should and is very real, though.

i thought adw would have put up a better fight since it's packaged with cyanogenmod. go is good for pre-ICS phones, but on my GNex, i'm enjoying nova quite a bit. i haven't tried apex yet, but one of these days when i'm bored enough, i'll give it a shot.

zeam is meant to be lightweight, and was the only alternative launcher that ran on my samsung transform.
