I know they usually pick someone who is in the top three or whatever, but I would watch Kenny as the next Bachelor and I’ve never watched this show before. He’s great.

I’m drunk!
Mentioned above that I watched it too. I thought it was good. It’s weird for me because the case got adjudicated in my hometown, so it always feel strangely personal (although, of course, it isn’t). Recently re-watched “Spotlight” after binging Netflix’s “The Keepers”—man, do we owe a huge debt of grattitude to…
I had not heard about this documentary. I will watch now that you told us about it.
The Queen was and is not a coloniser. In fact, one of the most significant aspects of her tenure has been the dismantling of the colonial structure. There is a great deal of evidence to suggest that she is not prejudiced. Most significantly, she is not supposed to be political in any way. However, she deemed the…
Fair enough. His stance on Western medicine can be tough to swallow, but my interpretation has always been that he is more against the pharma industry than he is against the science itself.
Bill Maher’s show isn’t really a “bullshit show.” He has a lot of rough edges and makes a lot of mistakes, but as far as I know he’s the only person doing what he does — comic rationalism on TV. He can change his point of view based on new information and he hates hypocrisy. It’s easier for white men to take this…
I don’t know that Maher was deliberately trying to be offensive. Based on his shtick, I’d say he was simply trying to get a quick laugh. He obviously grossly miscalculated, and now he’s apologized. Can we put it to bed yet?
What a coincidence. I joined about 2 weeks ago. Don’t even remember who invited me. I have always disliked the city where I live and always thought I had a sense of what people here do with their brains on average. Now I know for sure, All of the hate, immaturity, resentments, acting out because of boredom, narcing…
In my neck of the woods it’s a lot of posts about seeing “suspicious people” digging through trash or running through alleyways. It’s like most social media - an opportunity to type in all caps to other people, brag or complain. I’m sick of it.
So I joined Next Door and I think I regret it. I’m in what is both a newly developing and older part of Denver and a lot of the threads are somewhat racist? Also I feel like it’s having the effect where my neighborhood seems now dangerous than it is because of the 24/7 posts. I don’t know hard to explain. Anyone else…
This times a million.
Unpopular opinion: Maher won’t apologize and I like him for that. Time and time again he calls out the left for this kind of sensitivity and infighting that distracts us from the larger issues. Besides his apology would mean jack shit which is why he won’t give it. He’s even taken time on his show to talk about these…
Had I been in her position– headlining a concert that had been bombed– my every crazy emotional insecurity / fear / disorder would have been triggered full-blast.
Not much. What’s up with you?
I have it. Honestly, you want to be doing DBT. It helped me a lot! Even if doing it as a therapy option is not available to you right now, there are materials online so you can get started.
I do!! Have you ever heard of DBT? It’s a specific type of therapy that helps with BPD. Changed my life so much.
I’ve had similar experiences. Some people have a different idea of friendship. Mean people may have more “friends” but I doubt they view it as a relationship. The are people to hang with and be forgotten when they become inconvenient.
Well, I’m a guy so maybe you just want other women’s opinions? Just wanted to say I know what that’s like.
I don’t know if anyone will see this (which is too fitting, considering what I’m about to say), but here goes.
I don’t have any friends. I don’t know how to connect with people, and I’m coming to the conclusion that it’s just something in my personality, something about me as a person, that people don’t really care to…
