That Taco Bell example pretty much confirms your suspicion about home cooking affecting your taste. Not the worst issue to have, honestly?
One of the big reasons is McD’s raised their prices a lot. Much higher than inflationary pressure would warrant. The costs at my local McD’s went up by 60-70% on most items and some upwards of 150-200% (ice cream cones are $3 when they used to be $1 less than 2 years ago).
Refreshing!!
All I ask for is a clear plastic poncho like the ones you get in theme parks when it rains or if you’re in the first few rows of a messy stage show.
but that just turned into an immediate pre-order.
I’m about to play a direct Zelda sequel and have to accept that all my weapons and upgraded armors fell into a bottomless pit. I too wish for a little trust from gamemakers. I want them to know that we are competent and don’t need handholding.
That was going to be a major sticking point for me if I had to re-learn everything I did in the first game. A great choice by Respawn.
That’s a totally fair stance to take, and I agree it’s frustrating the sorts of narrative bullcrap game developers will come up with to kick off a sequel by robbing players of everything they unlocked/accomplished in the first game (*cough* Destiny 2 *cough*), but I will never bemoan a sequel taking a little time to…
I think Mass Effect 3 did a pretty good job. If you imported an ME2 character you basically imported a character that started on level 30 already. That was a nice way to start the game.
We must continue the collection.
How many ponchos in this one though?
True, but many folks, this could be their first game on a new system, forgetting fallen order exists. So for you and I, we may remember all of the cool force talents he could do cos of fallen order, but for many, they have no idea he could do the stuff he does in the game
I don’t think it’s a scam, so much as a feeling of necessity to start the game “fresh” and/or not intimidate new players.
More reviews by Toby, please. My new favorite Kotaku reviewer.
I’d like to submit Crank, Hardcore Henry, and WarGames for consideration, Mr. Warrior.
The best video game movies are the ones that aren’t trying to be video game movies. Edge of Tomorrow is the perfect example. It helps that it was adapting an absolutely stellar manga.
There’s no need to correct a fact.
Props for putting Majora over Ocarina, but are we really gonna leave out all the Game Boy classics from the “Mainline” designation? Link’s Awakening is easily right underneath Link to the Past in terms of quality and aesthetics. I’m also always curious to see where people rank Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks since…
Sorry, this is just too funny. Sony is bitching about MS potentially doing the things Sony has been doing for years. Sony regularly spends millions to make sure the non-PS versions of games (including CoD) have less features and/or content than the PS versions. Or they just pay to have the Xbox versions delayed…
