No, sony moneyhats games to take them away from microsoft. And modes. And dlc. And characters.

Microsoft buying a studio means I get all their games on gamepass. I just finished deathloop. Which I enjoyed. First arkane game I liked.

Because the people making those arguments don’t want xbox to exist.

How does KotOR get a pass because “Sony partially funded it” but Redfall doesn’t when Microsoft *wholly* funds it?

Yes but it’s only bitter Sony pedants that think that’s a valid argument.

Console maker makes own games exclusive. News at eleven.

And yet you’ll still be able to play it for free day one on Game Pass.

“Surely this iteration of beanie babies will have staying power!”

Thats good communication as usual from Larian.  It doesn't slam the door on Series X/S launch same day, just says they're having trouble.  The fact that the game has cross saves and GeForce now presents a nice work around for folks who want XBox support *and* want to play on launch day.

this is coming literal years too late for me unfortunatly.  I played an ungodly amount of destiny 1 and launch destiny 2 but as a solo player it just didn’t stay fun as they kept bolting more and more mechanics into 2

I’ve been a pretty big Destiny player forever. I’m looking forward to most of these changes. But I have to wonder about the accessibility and approachability of one of my favorite games when a list of “big changes” is composed almost entirely of stuff that is utterly meaningless to anyone looking into the game for the

I’m a big fan of the far cry series. Far cry 3 was game changing for me as it gave me a villain that I truly loved to hate. Far cry 4 was also fantastic, far cry 5 I actually enjoyed so much more than I thought I would & Far cry 6 has far exceeded my expectations especially considering it didn’t get rave reviews upon

Also when Sony buys a studio it’s treated as a loving relationship of support but when Microsoft does, it’s considered just throwing money and compensating.
Not saying that giant megacorps buying up every form of entertainment is good but I don’t see how one form is somehow more admirable than the other

Pretty much. Over the past decade, Sony has repeatedly used exclusivity deals to screw Xbox gamers (and sometimes PC gamers, as is the case with this Spider-Man content). It’s fairly comical that the FTC is freaking out over the MS/Activision acquisition because MS might do what Sony has already been doing for years.

If you were to make a movie with the American Government’s actual response to Covid, without having lived through it, everyone would say the writing was far-fetched and wildly unbelievable.

I’m just waiting for the board to finally realize that Yves has turned Ubisoft into a directionless dumpster fire while also making it an unattractive place to work for talented employees, and dump his ass.

what microsoft needs to do is go all in on forge an turn it into a mario maker style system. give users all the assets of Hal0 1, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, 4, and 5 and include the various engines and let people loose to build and go apeshit with it.

You’re not alone. Very similar experience. I knew going in what to expect but the non stop glowing praise and hype finally got me and I pulled the trigger and bought it. I gave it an honest 20+ hours and was less than thrilled. I was still running around the same opening area, bored as hell & grinding my ass off.

Sony is definitely getting some weird favoritism here. The fact that everything they have said they are worried about Microsoft doing is straight from the Sony playbook of shit they’ve been doing for more than a decade is pretty clearly hypocritical. People keep pointing to Microsoft being a bigger company ignoring

I completely understand. Especially considering the price of the storage cards for the Series consoles. By the time you add 1TB of usable storage you may as well have just bought the X.

Apparently this was addressed at some point:
