The only way you can “make money” on cars while actually driving them is to buy old interesting ones that are about 15-20 years old and selling them in 6 months before they’ve got any time to depreciate further. And even then, all you’ll be doing is offsetting the cost of ownership over that time period.

The problem

I swear the only way those old GMT 480s are taken off the road is when they’re crashed horrifically, or when their frame breaks after accruing more rust than a Russian Navy shipyards. Still see tons of them daily, even with the Michigan salt.

Thanks! I’ve never driven any of the Toyota trucks, but it seems to me that their midsize/small truck offerings would be better than domestics, simply because they’ve got more experience making smaller vehicles.

I’m with you on buying new though. I recently drove a 2008 Silverado LTZ before it was put on the dealer

I would just like to point out that the Colorado is an AWFUL vehicle to live with on a daily basis.

The interior is garbage. And while it is a truck that’s supposedly designed for work and simplicity, it’s beyond horrible. It’s got a similar radio to what you would find a late 90s Oldsmobile, and the one I drove

They look cool, but this option really shouldn’t be a thing. Fucking assholes with LED bars on their spotless trucks blinding the hell out of everyone going the other way. Should be illegal on road, if it’s not already.

I mean when you think about the intended market, why wouldn’t they style it like one of those ridiculous shoes?

Then, at that very moment, I got up off the operating table, I kicked everyone’s ass, and I started performing medicine without a license, right there in the hospital.

Pretty sure they said it was supposed to be his day off. If you’ve never had to come in for work because someone else wasn’t, your coworkers must be either have a great work ethic or insurmountable immune systems.

wait. The warranty cost you only 4 grand, roughly? Isn’t that basically the cost of one oil change? Honestly how do they expect to make money on that

Idk about Geely, but there was some chinese company that had a few cars in the Detroit Auto Show last year.

Well, when I say “in” I mean “outside of”. They had them in the foyer of the COBO center, in an area everyone completely disregarded as they made their way towards the security check into the show proper. I seem

If this were a street racing video we’d all have our fucking torches and pitchforks out

The only thing worse than all the copied stuff posted on CarThrottle is the original material.

I’ve found nose candy cleaning other people’s cars... not 13 lbs though :(

“sadly their cries led to the demise of pontiac.”

Ok that probably has the Vette beat by a bit.

They did actually used rebodied C4 Vettes for the Ferrari Daytonas that were on Miami Vice for a bit though .

I said they were popular on release, but they quickly fell from favor after the generation was up. So I didn’t quite follow the rules, not like they’re gonna use this answer for the list anyways.

They’re not what you might call popular now, but I’d put money on them going up in value over the next few decades, whereas

Model year or actual year? I could have sworn 93 MY was the first year for it...

Everything you said is true. The 92 was TPI right? I had a 93 with the LT1

His numbers were a bit off, even the 84 Crossfire Injection would do 0-60 in 6.6 seconds. Not exactly quick, but no slouch. By the end of it’s life it was packing around 145 more Horsepower, which improved things dramatically
