@Revenge_of_Nekojin: I really hope "depth" means the RPG-like customizable character development from NBA Hangtime is coming back. That game was easily the best in the series.

@superberg: "Exactly. Was there a reason not to announce this port? It's not like they coded it over the weekend on a whim. Who does this sort of thing? It's like the opposite of business sense."

@Obama takes time to read kotaku's comments...: Silly me, I saw the YouTube link and actually thought it might be this mystery speech where Obama says "games are bad". Are you referring to this one, from his Wisconsin primary victory speech?

@Strife Fox †: Are we looking at the same screen? The colouring is beautiful, and the landscape is really complex for a DS game. Having mainly only read about the game, I was surprised by how good it looks.

@sereal: I'm sorry, what?

@that1dude24: I'm actually more surprised and interested in a Tim Schafer game getting as much marketing as is shown in the background.

@everybest: You're probably thinking of the old Mac game Stunt Copter? It's also available for the iPhone:

@PenitentPenguin: I have to say, I was reminded of the same video just now, but the unfortunate banner ad paired with this article didn't help:

@QuackerJacks: I seem to remember hearing about one way back when, but I think it ended up being canceled.

I remember back in Primal Rage (why has there not been a sequel to this yet?) you could toss around the humans that would come out and bow before you when you pulled off a nice combo. If you and your opponent juggled the people long enough you'd get to play a little volleyball minigame.

@Ryodestined: They had better, since I'm not buying one until it does. I would have imported the Japanese one already if it wasn't for region coding on the DSi-specific stuff.

@GPman: Yes, please! Pure was a great game (Excite Truck with upgradeable ATVs), but the lack of local multiplayer hurt.

@Edwinik: I really hope they fix the side mirror before release. In the video and screenshots it's just a partial duplicate of the rear view mirror. It doesn't actually show you what's beside you at all and you can somehow see the other side of the road through your car.

@WayByWind: "What exactly is the point of putting two screens on a handheld?"

@Neo_X: Sorry but im pretty sure most people agree that this is by far the best burnout game yet.

@Nutlink: If it wasn't for this game many others would have been made. Like Commander Keen 7. And many other great platforming games. And any not-yet-made PC game that wasn't in the FPS or RTS genre. Never given a chance, thanks to Doom.

@Gyaruson: Try Black Mamba Racer. It's a lot of fun. I don't know why the top-down racing genre disappeared as quickly as it did (talking about games in general here, not iPhone), they're usually the best.

Though I will admit it wouldn't be half as amazingly amusing if you all didn't hate it so much. It's like Nintendo hears the whining and is only encouraged to lay it on thicker. I'm glad someone's still having fun in this industry. Imagine that.

omg, that doggie-suit Mii is cute! Any word on if there will be a kitty one?
