One of the movie’s primary plot points is literally about how blind devotion to some perceived official “canon” is wrong. If some viewers want to interpret the movie as a trans coming out for Gwen Stacy, then let them have fun in their subjective experience with the movie - I’ve written English essays for school on

Who cares?

god I read the headline and was afraid they were getting rid of old.reddit. Regular reddit is so fucking bad, like I literally don’t understand why it exists. But I guess it follow the standard internet pattern of taking something that is simple, elegant, and useful and changing it to something ugly and hard to use.

Everything on the internet is ephemeral; eventually, greed takes down every site, every service, every game....

I’d be happy with that ending.

End, Barry, end!

This is like some mediocre FPS made in the mid-2000s by a team with bigger dreams than skill, time or money... except they obviously did have money, judging by the celebs in it. I kinda love that it’s so behind the times, but I probably wouldn’t actually play it.

At the moment, this is an Epic Game Store exclusive.

Is it me or does this game feel like it was designed and marketed to crypto bros and NFT lovers.  It just feels like that sorta souless cash grab with washed up celebs trying to lure you in

Honestly, this is probably the most entertaining Kotaku article so far this year

You will absolutely not buy and play this. You’re posting entirely for clout and it’s terminally lame.

What in the Elon Musk’s Twitter is going on here

Flounder goes full blobfish anytime he’s out of the water in this one.

“One taste of pussy pie and a man will turn his back on his friends just like that,” Twitter user Old Man Boy Pussy (it’s imperative that I disclose their name) wrote in a quote retweet.

This is hilarious. Nobody at Disney went, “Hey maybe the reason the photorealistic Lion King seemed like a good idea* is because lions are beautiful to look at” and now they’re in the position of having to reckon with the fact that most things under the sea look disgusting and weird.

Yes Human. Just as all humans are named Human, Human. ~Human

Are all flounders named Flounder?

My problem with these remakes isn’t that they’re “ruining my childhood”. It’s just that every single one of them seems utterly unnecessary from a creative standpoint. I know every big movie exists to make money. But please, at least try to give me the illusion that an artistic vision was involved.

The hyper-realism stuff is so bad. People remember the cartoon versions because they have distinct looks and can emote in fun, cartoony ways. These are just literally photorealistic animals and you can do almost nothing with them.
