Ehh James Mangold is certainly an interesting director. And it’s gotta be better than Crystal Skull; I like to think Ford wouldn’t make the same mistake twice
If it was an actual mountain bike trail, that’d be insane. Although regular biking would be impressive too, especially at 5 a.m.
Ooooo James Mangold attached is very interesting. Piqued my interest for sure!
I imagine The Arbiter won’t show up til season 2 (which is somehow already confirmed!)
Pretty sure they’re just using her to activate Forerunner technology. Once she stops being of use, to quote the Green Goblin, they’ll “broom her fast.”
I don’t think she’s in a leadership position though. I was confused too, until they showed her awkwardly trying to politically maneuver and being shut down by the Prophet. I think she’s more like a pet. A pet who, through her connection to the Prophet, has some sway, but a pet nonetheless.
Ehhh I don’t really want to see a story I’ve seen before, but that’s just me. And if it was based entirely on the games, the smallest changes would be met with the biggest backlash (showing Chief’s face?!? Can you imagine the butthurt fans?). I’m okay with most of the changes this way since it’s not canon.
I’ve dabbled in the lore in the past and have played all the games, and I enjoyed it! Not super beholden to the story, so I liked it in a dumb-fun kind of way.
Yesss that’d be awesome. Or Weta!
Seems like Putin has overdosed on ‘member berries recently
I may come back to this show, but I quickly got tired of thinking I was learning something interesting or core to Villanelle’s character, only for her to go “haha or *am* I?” I got tired of parsing through what was true or not, and since I didn’t have *anything to latch on to with her, I lost interest in the show.…
I noticed the re-used assets too, but I think the focus is on making the larger areas feel overall unique, and I definitely think they succeeded in that
The elevators hide loading and also make the verticality of the space way more engaging. I loved Castle Morne for that; and there’s a divine tower you can’t enter through the front door; you’ve got to scale the side of it, only to then work your way back down through the inside.
I lol’d
Well said! Open worlds really are all the more incredible when the onus is on *you for exploring them. And the art here is *astoundingly good. I found myself wanting to live in Leyndell. Before it all went to shit of course. But even after; it’s oddly peaceful.
I had exactly the scope-awareness moment you’re talking about. Reaching the last third of the map, only to realize how *fucking huge that last third really is.
I’ll add that the attack on Tony’s house was very well done. It’s a direct consequence of Tony’s brash behavior, and it requires him to be very smart and judicious about his use of the armor to get him and Pepper out of the situation alive. Very well scripted and edited, and was an action-y setpiece that didn’t rely…
I’m gonna take the bullet and say Catalyst is good too. Not *as* good, but popping back into it just to marvel at the music, and the world is awesome and incredibly calming.
Bold of you to assume this is getting a franchise
