Having a set routine is best. We unpack and use packing cubes. Most of the time, the cubes fit in drawers, so you just plop them in and you’re “unpacked”. We have a laundry bag (plastic bag) for dumping the dirty laundry, so that’s what we stuff into our luggage at the end of the trip. Then we do a final sweep of

I never understood that. I wouldn’t consider myself a whiz, but having some background in science and math, I am comfortable with dealing with numbers when required. As I got further into my work world, I found that since I was willing to crunch the numbers, I was able to parlay into a better position.

I just loved torturing fans with, “Hey, did winter EVER come?”

Yep. This.

OMG, Zyrtec is awful.

I never understood the time bomb thing. I knew a woman who never found a guy and yet was hitting the 35-year-old wall of “I must have a baby, NOW.” She was really into herself and her career. Not much room for baby much less a partner/husband. The true root of her lack of love life, I’m sure. This woman was wildly

I tried using a balance ball like the ab wheel, where you would start in plank with the ball at your knee/shins and pull up into a V (ball rolls towards feet) and hold... and roll back into plank. Seriously hard. I quit after falling over a few too many times.

Material of base layers helps, too (based on my experience when skiing in negative temperatures, sometimes with windchill):

I found this out when I drove a rental car with a permanently “slightly sticky” steering wheel, no matter how many Clorox wipes I threw at it. The wipes turned dark gray, by the way.

The Android app sure wants tons of information from you:

Being a frequent flyer member on busy routes = never being on first class. You have to be in the very top tier to snag first class seats.

I like reading the fitness challenge to add to my current workout to prevent boredom. I’m not a gym person, so any of the challenges I can do without having to go to one is best. A while back, you focused on running and I’ve used your suggestions (warmups) that helped me tremendously for preventing injury. I also

There is something terribly self-important/centered about these newsletters. It only works if you have immediate family far away who don’t like to pick up the phone.

I’m on Japanese and Chinese noodle kick, so my go to are: miso paste, black bean paste, hot sauce (Siratcha, cayenne, red pepper flakes, chili oil). I also reduce the oil necessary in the Chinese receipes (I don't like greasy sauces).

I would also include any prescription medications on that list.  Never check those, either.

Not really. United took our luggage on a ski vacation two years ago. We had to abort the trip at the airport after discovering the resort and surrounding area had major power lines go down. United refused to take our bags out of the airport so we could leave. So, bags went to the ski destination, and we stayed home.

Ski gear: charcoal hand warmers and foot warmers (flat and is sticky on one side to stay on your socks). Sometime warehouse stores carry them in bulk: buy if you need them.

Yep. Nothing’s “free”.  There’s always a catch: higher priced seats.

I always look at the specifications of the item on sale, especially if it’s electronic/PC.  It’s not really a deal if it’s a low-end item to begin with.  The upper end electronics/PCs generally goes on sale if there’s an upcoming new model.  Otherwise, these sales are just to move the low to mid range items out of
