Bill Hicks said it right about the LA riots precipitated by the “trial” of the officers who beat Rodney King.

I’m cool with any cop with their body camera turned off for no reason being guilty until proven innocent. If they can turn them off and have zero repercussions when doing so then what’s the point of them?

The err suspect grabbed my handcuffs and actually put them on himself and then repeatedly threw his head at my fist before deciding to have a lie down on the ground to relax.

To be honest, the cops probably can explain why they handcuffed/detained Bennett.

1) The other guy isn’t not white;

I like this. It also reminds me of something a friend of mine who is former military told me that made a lot of sense. He said, “it was my JOB to know how to use my gun better than anyone else, and I STILL had to lock it up in the armory every night when I clocked out. That’s for a reason. They are not things you just

This is what I always think of when a mass shooting happens. If a bunch of people have guns I can easily see things going even worse real quick.

As a cop buddy of mine said “the only thing that scares me more than than facing a bad guy with a gun is a bunch of good guys in a circle trying to shoot the bad guy.”

I mean it’s real simple actually. Good guy with a gu is the white guy*. Bad guy with a gun is everyone else.

*Well except the all the white guys who frequently go out and shoot up up an office, school, movie theatre, pizza restaurant, church etc. But they’re all mentally ill or misunderstood or something.

Something worth keeping in mind is that it’s similar to how Islamophobia and attacking Muslims benefits ISIS.

“How are ‘they’ going to be able to identify one “bad guy with a gun?”

It should. Your chances of being killed by an ISIS terrorist is very low. But there are a lot of people here in the country absorbing this stuff. And they are heavily armed.

Exactly! And a ‘good guy with a gun’ is still an unknown factor. If I’m in a Starbucks, with my concealed service weapon, and I see someone in line with a visible holstered weapon, and I know this person is not a LEO (we do not carry visible weapons without a badge somewhere on us identifying ourselves), all I know

Reading this type of thing that goes on that I know nothing about as I’m not into guns scares me way more than reading about terrorists. Way more.

My problem with the idea of the “good guy with a gun” comes from a military Murphy’s law. “The only thing more accurate that incoming enemy fire is incoming friendly fire.” Soldiers get trained on how to avoid friendly fire, and it happens. How are X (where X>1) dudes who don’t know each other, don’t have good

I noticed that: the consistent hitting on the ‘they,’ ‘them,’ and ‘theirs.’ It’s not just enough to call us leftists or progressives: we are a faceless, nameless horde now. This sort of dehumanization of the opposition, especially in regards to groups that employ force, is a red flag. And it’s going to get worse: I
