Season One of Dexter was awesome from beginning to end. It was a daring premise and a great story well told and well acted; some of the best television I’ve ever seen.

It feels equally just a year or two ago and also at the same time, like 50 years ago.  2020 is a temporal anomaly

i remember turning off dexter in the very first episode when he looked down at an empty box of donuts and went ‘empty, just like my soul.

“we have a great economy” is not an opinion statement, my dude.  That is a statement that is either true, and backed up by verifiable facts such as employment levels, inflation levels, housing growth and consumer debt ratio, or it is a lie.

The job of a journalist is to inform people. If you ask a question, and get an answer that misinforms people, then you should ask a follow up. If you know that the answer is categorically false, you should say so, and see how the interviewee responds, because that will make people more informed. It’s that simple.

You would have been absolutely appalled by rudeness of Walter Cronkite and Edward R. Murrow.

You know that 60 Minutes is currently re-editing the footage they have to include all his pissy, whiney moments that they normally would have cut before air. I wouldn’t be surprised if they just went with “The footage you’re about to see is in it’s entirety and completely unedited for content or time.”

He wasn’t answering, so no answers were interrupted. When a person makes extraordinary claims they need to supply extraordinary evidence. According to Gallop he has a 56% disapproval rating; I think that’s what he used for his claim of better off economically.

I’ve seen recent clips of him from Fox where he struggles to stay on track even when they try to help shepherd him back to the talking points they were clearly fed up front.

It’s not that they asked Joe Biden easy questions so much as when Joe Biden gets asked a tough question he doesn’t visibly fold like a damn card table.

The decision to storm out like a petulant toddler was Trump’s own. Nobody can coach that kind of petty brittleness.
