Someone started a really similar Insta account for the high school I teach at, too! A handful of “[School name]Reali-TEA” accounts popped up overnight... and they seem to be filled with hateful, racist things. Thanks, 2020!

I’m so sorry to hear about you and your family’s conditions. You articulated so perfectly why COVID needs to be taken so seriously with ‘WOULDN’T BE DYING OTHERWISE’ - to be brutally honest, this even gave me a better perspective. I just wish the media would hammer home, “people are dying that wouldn’t be otherwise”…

It’s MIND BLOWING. My sister has an autoimmune condition. My mom is in remission from leukemia. I have high blood pressure. So people (including some in my own family) think it’s totally cool if we all just die? Even tho we WOULDNT BE DYING otherwise??

As someone with Type 1 Diabetes, the “but-but-they have underlying conditions!” argument is so frustrating to me.

I question my parenting because my daughter never really got into Star Wars.  I tried at an early age, it just didn’t stick.  She’s 9 and loves Lord of the Rings and Marvel movies, she even realizes the Hobbit book is way better than the movies, so I’m not a complete failure of a parent.
