I ride a Yamaha Super Tenere. It´s a big heavy machine, but it hides it´s weight ridiculously well and can handle a lot of add-on weight. For me the “big” “adventure bike thing” comes down to this:

800GS two words = fuel pump. It´s all over the forums, it´s a tragedy BMW hasn´t issued a recall, makes my friends 800 practically useless for anything longer than a 2hr ride.
