I would hazard a guess, though, that given the way you describe yourself, you don’t get misgendered very often and called ma’am, do you? So you’re not going to be the one who gets offended by this, because it’s not an issue for you, so maybe this is an issue you should step back and listen on rather than declaring

so, you don’t care about people’s feelings? you don’t think misgendering is a big deal? all right, ma’am, you’re entitled to that I suppose.

I remember when servants would address you as Master or M’Lord.

Every single Marvel movie got under a B+ last year what a weird comment

Calm down, Margaret, and loosen your corset strings.

Also makes a ton of thematic sense for the show, frankly. Reginald Hargreeves was an abusive, domineering asshole who brutalized his children into the shape he wanted them to be. Viktor rejecting him by embracing a more truthful identity would feel downright victorious. Excusing the pun.

This is going to make a lot of people mad who won’t understand that someone deciding to transition is quite possibly one of the most mundane issues the Hargreeves family has seen.

Because it’s not like hair is hugely important to Black women, and how we’re percieved.

I believe it’s a condition that affects mostly women called Alopecia and not something common.

Is not wrong to smack the shit out of a bully. But hey, what do I know? I was only bullied for most of elementary and high school.

making a joke about someones medical condition that they are struggling with, who you have a history of going after is 100% punching down.

Two people can simultaneously be differing degrees of wrong. You don’t have to cheer for either.

The Joke was not directed at him, but Jada, who Rock has used and targeted before.

So you're on the team of the dude who publically humiliated a woman for her alopecia?

This. Violence isn’t the answer, but I don’t think it’s necessarily an unexpected response to publicly embarrassing one’s spouse on national tv.

It wasn’t just that Rock made a joke about his wife’s medical condition, it’s that he made it *directly to her face.*

Nah. That was a shitty joke about someone’s medical condition that is traumatizing and humiliating for her.

Jada’s been very public about how her medical conditions have taken a toll physically and emotionally. Chris Rock was being a bully when he mocked her on national international television and was clearly punching down. Will’s display of toxic masculinity and misplaced “chivalry” was punching up, like TheWorldWantsMeDea

Yeah it's real funny to mock people for their medical conditions

I think it was in poor taste to make a joke about her alopecia on national tv with her sitting a few yards away.
