I like the season overall but, yeah, this was the dud. It killed momentum and was overly long for what it gave. I *do* like knowing the hows and whys of Bly but it feels like it could have been done earlier, interspersed with other episodes, and much shorter without it losing any effectiveness. Hell, honestly this

I always forget that Jos Louis is a Canada specific thing. It feels like it should be universal.

Hawkins’ Cheezies - though that might be kind of cheating. They were invented in Chicago but then moved to Ontario.

I enjoy a roll dipped in chalet sauce but fully agree that the sauce does nothing to compliment the chicken itself.

I’ve yet to have a good sushi pizza yet for some reason I keep trying them. Glad to hear that there apparently are good ones out there, somewhere.

While not the most important in terms of the overall plot this was definitely the stand out, and most solid on its own merits, episode of the season.

Fear definitely grew into the best of the Walking Dead shows. A very low bar, mind you, but it definitely came so far from the depths it started at.

With all the sympathy they’re trying to build up in the audience for Silas I wonder how horrid the reveal of his supposed wrongdoings will turn out to be (and almost certainly be false, of course) since they made sure he presents himself as thinking he has no life and no future and had everyone whispering about him in

Yeah I had real fear for Montrose when he and Tic were at the portal waiting and they framed him directly in front of the window. Hollywood loves a stray bullet moment just when people start to reconcile and I’m glad the writers didn’t go that way. It would have been melodramatic and wasteful.

I think it is that she does not die and heals inflicted wounds. But if she keeps aging her ‘default state’ to come back to is still going to be old and decrepit - hence wanting eternal youth on top of it.

It almost makes sense for the kids so they don’t bother me. The others are pretty rough though. I never have a problem with actual British accents but there were a few times that I was happy I had subtitles on while watching because the off accent garbled things.

Man, kudos to Benjamin Evan Ainsworth that kid is punching way above his weight class in this.

Well I think Christina likely thought of herself in terms of sociopathy. She didn’t not care about Emmett due to racism (or at least not only racism) but due to the fact he did not matter towards her goals. Hence being a little taken aback by Ruby’s question. What will remain to be seen is if that is the truth and

I don’t think they’ve ever been named ‘in universe’ but the showrunners have referred to them as shoggoths.

It seems survivor states are well spread out. It seemed believable to the main characters that the CRM had an outpost in New York state whether or not that turns out to be actually true. Honestly it wouldn’t surprise me if the writers chose Portland because it’s about equally as far from Nebraska as New York.

All the threads are coming together and weaving nicely - can’t wait to see the final image they make.

I suspect it’s going to turn out that it wasn’t the CRM themselves who took out the community but some other enemy waiting in the wings. It was way too straightforward for the Walking Dead folks - they love making things messy then not having the skills to clean it up after.

This would have made for a really weak finale if they hadn’t extended the season. Not the worst but definitely nothing to write home about. The escape plan up until ‘Burning Down the House’ was a solid moment. Them suddenly out zombie-ninjaing the Whisperers later even without spotters and higher ground support though

Could it be a decent show in theory: Yes, though I’m not going to hold my breath.

Can it revive the zombie genre: Fuck no. This is not a series known for creative or novel approaches to its genre and the genre itself is pretty damn played out.

Pizza Hut in Canada definitely had a buffet - I remember from school trips.
