I’m pretty sure Overwatch model is the same as being described here. you can grind until you get skin you want or you can purchase loot boxes that have a chance to contain the skin. Maybe the ratio of grind to “earned” loot box is more generous in Overwatch but they are still using the scheme to monetize the new art.

I did. Just because you don’t agree with many of his decisions, don’t knock the good ones too. There is no proof that this decision was made based on cuts to other programs.
