dear dodge,
Thank you from every woman that really do work on cars!!!!!!!! 5 billion stars.
:O that is so awesome, I want one earthquake simulator now
The running is what always gets me in movies like this. During a quake that strong, its almost impossible to move anywhere with effort, let alone stand up straight.
plus San Andreas is a transverse fault so the theoretical Big One tops around an 8.0 or so, because of the type of tectonic motion.
The one thing they forget in this movie is that California buildings are built with large quakes in mind. I doubt you’d see that much destruction, even in at a magnitude of 9.
I know, I know, I just never trust other drivers to pay attention to such thing on highways, remember, distracted drivers are everywhere!
I agree. The vast majority of the clips show mundane daily stupidity at best. I run a dashcam as well - I see stuff like this every time I go for a drive, but have never considered it worth sharing with the world.
I don’t know whats worse - mostly minor “infractions” or people making taking the time taking, editing and uploading videos about such behavior...
I see worse drivers every day here in Germany - just play it cool and stay aware for idiots around you. No need to get all ruffled up ;)
TommyRocker is right—death wobble is caused by loose joints in your track bar, steering joints or other front-end parts. This was nothing more than a blowout—as the driver said.
By the time he hit the grass and rolled, he lost enough speed for it to be pretty gentle. Had he went off the road faster, this probably wouldn’t have ended well.
Wrangler death wobble is a bit different than that, it’s a stabilizer shock and you’d feel it well before 70mph.
that wasn’t death wobble
It’s a lot like when the car is getting away from you. Solution is to add power and countersteer to taste.
Which is why I call BS on the story above. It’s an old joke and quite unlikely that “Leesha” had it happen to them.
You’ve convinced me! Now to look for one, and...
The Night Mode story can actually be listened to here, and it’s hilarious:
